This tradition of excellence began with the release of the first wine labeled Tapada de Coelheiros in 1991. Located in the municipality of Arraiolos—known for its lacework that produces one of Portugal’s most beautiful traditional crafts, the famous Arraiolos rugs—Herdade dos Coelheiros decided to honor the cultural identity of this land on its wine labels.
