This Colombo, born from the remarkably seasoned terroir of Madeira, showcases the skill of Nuno Duarte, Juan Teixeira and Flavia Rosário. Crafted with hand-picked grapes from Seixal, Porto Moniz and São Jorge, it possesses a distinctly volcanic character, with Merlot, Syrah and Touriga Nacional playing beautifully together. The carefully controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, combined with an 8-month ageing in French oak, gives it an elegance truly unique to the island’s oceanic climate. Definitely a wine to pair with a fantastic grilled fish or a hearty roasted meat dish.
