This Conde de Serpa unfolds with a colour reminiscent of that glorious Alentejo sun – a deep ruby that certainly delivers. The nose is dominated by rich compote notes, ripe fruit bursting with warmth, and, as the producer rightly suggests, a genuine echo of the Alentejo terroir. It’s a remarkably smooth wine, almost decadent on the palate, with a persistence that practically begs you to linger over it. A fantastic match for grilled beef or, perhaps, a succulent roast duck.
