This Convento do Paraíso Euphoria feels like it’s sprung straight from the Algarve sun. Ripe red fruit notes – particularly from the local Miguiraud – mingle beautifully with a subtle, almost cheeky hint of piquillo pepper, a signature of the region. Supported by generous Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine boasts a robust structure that’s wonderfully balanced by smooth tannins, finishing with impressive length and a lingering warmth; it would be absolutely sublime with a hearty black pork dish, perhaps a traditional July stew.
