Located on the right bank of the Douro River between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto covers about 130 hectares, 70 of which are planted with vines. The estate also includes Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira in the Upper Douro, which spans 114 hectares of vineyards. Situated in the privileged region of the Douro Demarcated area, the property has been owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. As with many great Douro estates, its origins trace back to ancient times – the name “Crasto” comes from the Latin *castrum*, meaning Roman fort.
