Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a property of about 130 hectares, of which 70 are planted with vineyards. The estate’s portfolio also includes Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Old‑Vine (Vinha Velha) vines, and Quinta da Cabreira in the Upper Douro, which covers 114 hectares of vineyards. With a privileged position in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for more than a century. As is common with the great estates of the Douro, the origins of Quinta do Crasto reach back to ancient times—the name “Crasto” derives from the Latin *castrum*, meaning a Roman fort.
