Description

This Dalva, from C. da Silva, seems to have taken its time maturing – a very deliberate approach. Crafted with old vines of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, these grapes have witnessed decades in the Douro Valley. The result is a full-bodied wine with a remarkably thoughtful character, enhanced by a six-month barrel aging in 600-litre French oak. Expect subtle notes of vanilla alongside a hint of coffee, and a finish that’s designed to linger – perfect with a hearty beef dish or a robust, aged cheese.
