Grão Vasco O Vinho: Grão Vasco Dão Tinto is a light, elegant wine that blends the classic profile and flavour of Dão reds with the extraordinary versatility of everyday drinking. Grão Vasco is a benchmark brand that delivers the authentic taste of Portuguese wines. Vinification: After a pre‑clarification of the grapes, the grapes are gently crushed, and the must is gravity‑fed into stainless‑steel fermentation tanks equipped with automatic temperature control and pump‑stirring. The fermentation lasts about five days, during which the wine is subjected to several pump‑stirring sessions to gently extract aromas and phenolic compounds from the skins. Following this, the wine is transferred to storage tanks and the must is pressed in pneumatic presses to softly extract the wine contained within. Maturation: After malolactic fermentation, the Grão Vasco Dão Tinto stages in stainless‑steel tanks until bottling, which is carried out in stages to preserve the lot’s freshness, before undergoing a variable period of bottle ageing prior to release.
