This “Desafinado” Reserva certainly seems to have had a little tête-à-tête with black truffles – the dominant aroma is undeniably that of mature truffle. The vanilla, imparted during barrel aging, beautifully balances the intensity of the red berries, creating a wine of remarkable equilibrium and complexity. It’s a fantastic pairing with sautéed mushrooms, almond paste, or, frankly, a hearty beef dish.
