This Reserva Branco, born in the heart of the Douro Superior and paying homage to Maria Teresa Feitor – the ‘Ferreirinha’ – is a seriously ambitious project from Luís Sottomayor. Crafted primarily with Viosinho and Rabigato, alongside Códega, Arinto and Malvasia Fina, it’s clearly aiming for a robust structure and ageing potential. The traditional winemaking, featuring extended maceration and meticulous temperature control, really extracts the best from these native Douro grapes. Expect a wine with remarkable longevity – a fitting tribute to a pioneering spirit and certainly something to pair with a hearty Francesinha!
