This Druida Encruzado Reserva clearly had a rather eventful life – nine months aging in oak barrels, nurtured by wild yeasts, and born at an altitude of 500 metres on the granite soils of the Dão. The result is a remarkably individual white wine, where the mineral notes of stone and the vibrant freshness of the Encruzado grape are beautifully showcased with an elegance reminiscent of the gods. It’s a fantastic pairing with grilled fish or a bright salad – and we suspect it’ll continue to develop wonderfully in the bottle.
