Two winemakers who have shaped the history of Portuguese wine over recent decades, from two regions the world recognises for their exceptional quality and character – the Douro and the Alentejo – come together in a project conceived for the Douro, in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior zones, two exceptional and protected terroirs. Thus Duorum is born, a dream project realised in the millennial vineyards of the Douro. Duorum Vinhos began its activities in January 2007, reflecting the wish of João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco to combine their professional expertise as winemakers in a project producing Douro wines of unique characteristics and international stature.
