Description

Born from the vision of João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco, this Duorum is a truly impressive expression of the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior terroirs. The winemaking is exceptionally meticulous, utilising hand-picked grapes at the earliest stage. Expect a deep ruby colour, vibrant purple hues, and a wonderfully intense aroma of ripe black fruit – blackberry, plum, cassis – further enhanced by a prolonged aging in 70% new French oak barriques and 30% older barrels. It boasts a full body, firm, well-integrated tannins, and balanced acidity, finishing with remarkable length and elegance – a wine lauded by critics like James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast, and awarded “Best of Year”. Wonderful with grilled red meats or aged cheeses.
