Duque do Viseu Tinto is made from a selection of grapes from the recommended Dão varieties—Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Alfrocheiro Preto—grown at Quinta dos Carvalhais. The wine displays a ruby colour and a rich aroma reminiscent of ripe black cherry, blended with mineral freshness and spicy notes (clove) that come from the portion of the lot aged in oak barrels. On the palate it offers a balanced harmony of all its components and the elegance of its soft tannins, resulting in a vibrant, stimulating, and enjoyable drinking experience.
