This Em Campo is a wine that quite frankly, doesn’t mess around – that vibrant colour is a clear signal of its power. The blend of Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Franca, Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a truly satisfying palate experience, like conquering a challenge. Careful winemaking, including extended maceration of the darker grapes, combined with ageing in used oak barrels, gives it a complexity hinting at the estate’s unique terroir. Seriously, it’s brilliant with a hearty stew or grilled meat, and would be fantastic alongside a creamy soft cheese to round off a meal – a triumph courtesy of enologist Joana Silva Lopes.
