This Esporão Private Selection is a boldly confident expression of the Alentejo, born from a meticulously chosen blend of Syrah, Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Francesa. The winemaking process, employing both *pisa-a-pé* and manual racking, truly unlocks the potential of the grapes. Following pressing, careful separation allows the nuances of each grape variety to shine through. Maturation in 225l oak barrels – a mix of new and used – lends an undeniable elegance and complexity. The result is a rich, full-bodied wine with ripe black fruit notes, a hint of smoke, and remarkable longevity – a testament to its 92 points awarded by Robert Parker. Wonderful with grilled beef or a classic beef stroganoff.
