Description

It presents a deep garnet colour and great aromatic complexity, revealing ripe black fruit with notes of cocoa and pepper. On the palate it is silky, dense and firm. The Esporão company was born in the Alentejo out of an unconditional desire to make the best wines; this motivation is the legacy behind all its wines and the main reason for expanding into other products and territories. The Esporão estate, located in the heart of the Alentejo in Reguengos de Monsaraz, offers unique agricultural conditions – wide diurnal temperature swings, poor and varied soils, and extraordinary biodiversity that help produce in balance with the environment. With about 702 hectares of vines, olive groves and other crops fostered by a Biological Production method, it currently incorporates around 40 grape varieties, four olive varieties, fruit trees and gardens.
