Esporão was born in Alentejo from an unconditional desire to make the finest wines. This motivation is the legacy behind all of its wines and the main reason it has expanded its range to other products and territories. Herdade do Esporão, located in the heart of Alentejo in Reguengos de Monsaraz, offers unique conditions for agriculture: wide temperature variations, poor and varied soils, and an extraordinary biodiversity that helps produce in balance with the environment. Spanning some 702 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, and other crops cultivated under organic farming, it today comprises around 40 grape varieties, 4 olive varieties, orchards, and vegetable gardens.
