Intense ruby colour, with notes of black currants, cocoa, dark chocolate, licorice and a hint of black pepper. On the palate it is rich and complex, dominated by intense black fruit and spice notes. Long and persistent finish. The Esporão company was born in Alentejo from an unconditional desire to make the best wines. This motivation is the legacy of all its produced wines and the main reason for expanding its range into other products and territories. The Esporão Estate, located in the heart of Alentejo, in Reguengos de Monsaraz, presents unique conditions for agriculture – large temperature swings, poor and varied soils, and an extraordinary biodiversity that helps produce in balance with the environment. With around 702 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and other crops promoted by a Biological Production Method, it now incorporates about 40 grape varieties, 4 olive varieties, orchards and gardens.
