This family-run project sounds almost too good to be true – the VADIO from Bairrada. They’re claiming to revive traditional grapes with a healthy dose of passion, and it seems they’ve been quite successful; having won the “Producer of the Year 2014” award – suggesting someone, at some point, recognised its potential. Definitely a sparkling wine deserving of a good salty snack, perhaps with some *pastéis de bacalhau*.
