This Fanal DOP Madeira, a project by Juan Teixeira and Nuno Duarte, is a delightfully understated reminder that tradition and modern elegance can absolutely harmonise. Crafted using grapes from a now-lost parcel and employing a method reminiscent of Justino’s – minimal intervention, naturally – the result is a wine that leans wholeheartedly into its natural character. Expect a beautifully balanced, slightly dry wine with a pronounced sweetness, and a pace of evolution that demands patience, reflecting the island’s unique terroir.
