The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. Garrafeira Nacional is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by usual practice, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Therefore, Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years sealed.
