This Ferreira Quinta do Vintage is a seriously intense affair, boasting a deep, almost jewel-toned purple. You’re immediately greeted with those classic Douro notes – heather and dried earth – alongside the cedar hints acquired during a careful ageing process. The Aragonez really shines through with its characteristic spice, while the Touriga Nacional lends that essential elegance and balance. A wine that deserves its 94 points, I’d recommend pairing it with something hearty – perhaps a lovely roasted cod!
