This Fitapreta Branco 2019 is a delightfully retro project – a bit like catching up with an old friend: the stalwart white wines of the Alentejo. Tamarões (Trincadeira das Pratas) and Alicante Branco (Boal de Alicante), rather uncommon varieties, have been coaxed together to recapture the region's authentic spirit, with a remarkably restrained winemaking approach, mirroring the very earth beneath them. The result is a wine that tells the story of the Alentejo, brimming with freshness – perfect with grilled fish or shellfish, naturally.
