This Gambozinos rosé from Cabanas do Castanheiro is a delightfully bold offering from the Douro. Expect bursts of blackcurrant and floral notes, a lovely echo of the Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca. The result of foot treading and schist lagares delivers a remarkably concentrated experience, with a surprisingly deep finish that lingers beautifully – perfect with grilled fish or, dare we say, a plate of snails, just like the Paterno Dia family would approve.
