This Catapereiro Reserva certainly packs a punch, delivering a vibrant burst of intensely ripe fruit that boldly pushes the boundaries of the Tejo region. The Alicante Bouschet provides its characteristic zest, beautifully balanced by the smoothness of the Merlot and the refinement of the Touriga Nacional. It’s a well-structured wine, yes, but with tannins so luxuriously soft, it almost seems to have “complained” of being too rigid – a fantastic match for a hearty beef roast, perhaps?
