There’s a promising bouquet of floral notes and red berries, underpinned by a subtly smoky/toasted character – perhaps hinting at a slightly over-aged vintage, or a brief encounter with the grape skins. Despite this, it retains a refreshing elegance on the palate, thanks to its fine tannins, a clear reflection of the variety. It would pair beautifully with grilled fish or game.”
