This Antão Vaz from the Alentejo, courtesy of Herdade do Moinho, has clearly spent some time with French oak – a full 30 days during fermentation and six months with *batonnage*. It delivers those classic vanilla and toasted notes, but with the characteristic grace that only this particular blend of Antão Vaz can achieve. Absolutely brilliant with grilled fish and a shellfish sauce, wouldn’t you agree?
