Herdade do Rocim "Herdade do Rocim" Alicante Bouschet is a genuine wine, born from generations’ passion that have always treated the land with the greatest respect and tenderness. It is made from the Alicante Bouschet grape, carefully foot‑crushed in a traditional stone press, then aged in French oak barrels. Located between Vidigueira and Cuba in the Lower Alentejo, Herdade do Rocim covers about 70 hectares of vineyards, 53 hectares of red varieties and the remaining 17 hectares of white varieties. Characterised by a mix of clayey and sandy soils, the estate’s viticultural criteria aim at producing high‑quality grapes. The Rocim Cellar, a structural element of the project, combines wine production with the aesthetic quality of its architecture, serving as a marketing and promotional tool that elevates the region. **Vinification** Hand‑harvested in 12‑kg crates. At the winery, the grapes were subjected to a meticulous selection on a vibrating picking carpet, then gently destemmed with a slight crushing of the bunch. Fermentation takes place in a stone press with foot‑crushing.
