“Hérdeia dos Grous employs a rather indulgent approach – hand-picked grapes, naturally. They then subject them to a brief thermal shock to retain maximum freshness, followed by cold maceration, which beautifully highlights the character of the Aragonez and Syrah grapes. The result is a deeply coloured red wine with a complex nose – ripe fruit mingling with a refreshing hint of mint – and a concentrated flavour that lingers delightfully on the palate, perfect alongside a hearty grilled beef dish, truly capturing the essence of the Alentejo.”
