Herdade Grande is an agricultural estate located about 5 km from Vidigueira, Alentejo. It covers a total area of 350 hectares, of which 60 hectares are vineyards, 40 hectares are olive groves, and the remainder is used for sheep grazing. The estate has been owned by the same family for over a century. The winemaking project began with the planting of vines in 1980 and the establishment of the winery in 1997, aiming to produce and market 350 000 to 400 000 bottles of wine, 30 % of which are white and 70 % red.
