This deep red from Casa Relvas’ Herdade São Miguel Friends Collection is a genuine surprise. The youthful Touriga Nacional bursts with vibrancy on the palate, supported by an incredibly well-structured frame and exceptionally smooth tannins – a sign of a wine with serious longevity. The finish is remarkably complex and persistent, a clear reflection of the meticulous care and attention poured into this vineyard, which, incidentally, earned a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Wonderful with grilled beef or a nice Alentejo fish, perhaps?
