Located in Portugal’s Alentejo region, Quinta de Dona Maria is renowned for its 18th‑century palace, which not only serves as a historical landmark but has also been linked to wine production for over 150 years. In 1988, under new owner Júlio Bastos, the wines produced at this estate began to be marketed nationally and internationally, gaining recognition from both the general public and wine critics. Although the old cellar has been restored, expanded, and modernized, the 19th‑century marble vats have been preserved, playing a central role in the winemaking of these quality wines.
