Description

Kelman wines are produced with minimal intervention, aiming to preserve the authenticity of their noble origin. Integrated production practices are adopted, following sustainable agriculture, rational use of resources, and ecosystem preservation. All vineyards with native Dão varieties are own‑grown. Six hectares were planted in 2000, and just under two hectares are old vines, with some plots planted in 1931. The entire production is rain‑fed, with hand‑harvested grapes harvested at the optimal ripening point for each variety. No animal‑derived winemaking products are used, making the wines suitable for vegans. Kelman wines offer a wide gastronomic range, full of elegance, and can evolve for decades in the bottle. They are highly prized by restaurants worldwide. Markets include the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, and Brazil. Grape blend: Touriga Nacional (60%), Tinta Roriz (25%), Alfrocheiro (15%). We recommend decanting to unlock their full potential. **Awards** Kelman Reserva Lagar 2017 – Gold Medal, International Wine Challenge 2023; Silver Medal, Concurso Vinhos de Portugal 2022; Highly Recommended, Revista de Vinhos: A Essência do Vinho.
