This Lacrau Chardonnay, carefully hand-harvested and temperature-controlled, clearly nods to its French heritage thanks to a period spent ageing in oak barrels. A rather traditional approach, yes, adding notes of vanilla and toasted bread, but thankfully, it doesn’t mask the Chardonnay’s inherent expressiveness. Absolutely brilliant with a grilled white fish and a squeeze of lemon – a truly harmonious pairing.
