This Lacrau Superior is a seriously hands-on affair – hand-picked and with a generous dose of traditional lagar work, including foot-pumping and extended post-fermentation maceration. The vineyard’s 50+ year history shines through a wonderfully complex blend of over 20 indigenous grape varieties, evoking ripe red and black fruit flavours infused with spice. The tannins are robust, yet yielding, offering a beautiful, lingering fruit expression. Perfect with a perfectly grilled steak, of course!
