This Loios from João Portugal Ramos is a truly enveloping wine – a refreshingly fruity embrace, carrying a lovely green note that speaks of the Alentejo terroir. Crafted from grapes grown on clay-calcareous and schist soils, it’s fermented for a full 24 hours, really intensifying the flavour. Achieving a remarkable 86 points from Robert Parker, it’s a wine that demands attention. Best enjoyed with red meats, game or poultry, but honestly, it's a wine to be savoured, like a good chat – don’t rush it.
