This Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne is a wonderfully refined expression of the Côte d'Or – a touch boldly complex, admittedly, thanks to those new French oak barrels. The Chardonnay retains a lovely velvety texture, though, and it’s undeniably a wine that would sing beautifully with a good comté or a decadent foie gras paté.
