The story of Luís Pato wines begins when João Pato started bottling his own‑grown wines in 1970. After becoming the first bottling producer in the Bairrada region following its demarcation, his son Luís Pato continued his father’s work, ushering in a new era for the family business in 1980. Today the company cultivates 60 hectares of vineyard, spread over sandy and clay‑limestone soils, and offers a varied range of prestigious wines. (illustrative image only)
