The history of Henriques & Henriques, founded by João Gonçalves Henriques, dates back to 1850. After his death in 1912, a partnership was formed between his two sons, Francisco Eduardo and João Joaquim Henriques, giving rise to the name Henriques & Henriques. From its earliest days, Henriques & Henriques has held a prominent place in viticulture and winemaking. In 1913, the family interests were incorporated into a family company, which in 1925 began exporting its wines rather than supplying them locally to other exporters. Since then, the company has invested in the latest technological innovations while maintaining the unaltered family tradition that has endured for 200 years in producing the finest Madeira wines. Full control of all aspects of production allows H&H to produce and market wines of exceptional quality. The bottling year may not match the image presented. (Illustrative image only)
