This 5.5-year-old Madeira is a delightfully extroverted wine, boasting a gorgeous golden hue and promising a seriously indulgent experience. The nose is immediately brimming with toasted almond, walnut, and dried fig notes, underpinned by a classic almond skin character – a hint of timelessness, really. On the palate, it’s wonderfully round and balanced, with a lingering finish that’s quite elegant, and it would pair beautifully with a good, strong sheep’s cheese.
