The Quinta das Maias is located at about 600 metres above sea level on the foothills of Serra da Estrela, and its vineyards are cultivated organically. Its name derives from the yellow blossoms that blanket the mountain slopes – locally called *Maias* – which bloom in May. Thanks to this setting, the wines produced exhibit a refreshing character and a pronounced mineral profile.
