This Mamoré from Borba Grande Reserva is a white wine that clearly had a rather passionate chat with the Alentejo terroir. Crafted using traditional foot-treading in the lagar, it delivers intensely ripe stone fruit flavours alongside a surprising oxidative complexity gained from barrel ageing. Expect notes of sweet white plum mingling with fresh vegetable hints, culminating in a remarkably long finish – ideally enjoyed with white fish or a well-roasted vegetable dish.
