This Maria de Lourdes is a wonderfully intriguing white from the Douro Superior – seemingly born from vines holding onto a few well-kept secrets. Blended with Gouveio, Viosinho, and Rabigato, cultivated on the Quintas do Côa and da Urze, it delivers a wine of remarkable elegance, and we’re guessing a rich backstory. The meticulous production, with full temperature control at the Adega, combined with full grape extraction, has earned it a well-deserved 91/100 from Wine Spectator – and it’s particularly delicious paired with grilled fish or seafood.
