This Messias Unoaked arrives with a colour that’s wonderfully surprising – almost translucent, with just hints of purple suggesting a vibrant core. The nose reveals a delightful explosion of red and black fruits, with the Touriga Nacional adding a wonderfully complex aromatic layer, yet retaining the refreshing lift contributed by the Tinto Cão. On the palate, the youthful exuberance of the grapes is beautifully tempered, presenting an intensity that’s frankly quite dazzling – a fantastic match for grilled beef, no question.
