This Malbec, shrouded in a rather dramatic name, seems to be the result of a serious quest for regional authenticity – or at least, that’s what they tell us. Apparently, the wines from this area are so lusciously fruity and smooth that they require a suitably enigmatic moniker to justify their very existence. The oak aging is restrained, adding just a touch of sophistication, as if the wine needed a little encouragement. Perfect for a moment of blissful discovery alongside a perfectly grilled steak, of course.
