This curious little wine, a collaboration between Moreira, Olazabal and Serôdio Borges, certainly likes to keep you on your toes. Born from the vines of Seia and showcasing a particularly vibrant Alfrocheiro, it’s surprisingly light on the palate – a point Robert Parker notably praised. The mineral notes and refreshing acidity, reminiscent of cooler climates, combine for a genuinely engaging experience. The aging in used 500-litre oak barrels adds a welcome layer of complexity without sacrificing its delicate charm. Pairs beautifully with grilled fish and fragrant herbs, or a robust sheep’s cheese.
