Description

MOB This project was born from the shared desire of three winemakers – Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal, and Jorge Serôdio Borges – to create a wine together. The chosen region was Dão, a place that has long inspired admiration through the tasting of older wines from the 1960s and 1970s, which impress with their elegance and freshness. The identity and complexity of these wines are truly remarkable and serve as an inspiration for our MOB wines. The vineyards cover a total of fifteen hectares, ten located in Seia and five in Gouveia, composed of old vines. They sit in one of the coolest areas of the region, at the foot of the Serra da Estrela. The combination of altitude, soils, and grape varieties present on the estate convinced us that it was the right place to move forward. The wine comes from the Gouveia vineyards, vinified in clay amphorae and stainless‑steel tanks with low extraction and at low temperatures. It aged for 24 months in used French oak barrels.
