This Monsaraz Syrah is a seriously inviting wine, bursting with ripe black fruit – predictably, the Syrah shining through. The *Revista de Vinhos* certainly agreed, awarding it 87 points, and the complexity, with its refreshing balsamic notes and a hint of spice, clearly speaks of the distinctive terroir of the Alentejo. A structured, intense wine with a long finish, it’d pair beautifully with a nicely grilled Mediterranean barracuda, wouldn’t it?
