This Montado from José Maria da Fonseca certainly aims to impress – and nearly succeeds! The colour is reminiscent of a box of chocolates (a solid 15 points from Revista de Vinhos), releasing aromas of the forest floor with a surprising hint of rosemary, hinting at a remarkably aromatic terroir. The palate, according to the magazine, is fruity and wonderfully smooth, inviting relaxation, with a finish that lingers with quiet dignity.
